Product Description
This is a Thuka Trendy series High Loft Bed with an angle ladder. The ladder can be installed in either the right side or the left side (when facing the long side of the bed). Thuka is made in Denmark from FSC certified solid Northern European Pine. The pine used is a cold climate climate pine and thus is very durable. Thuka is also an eco-friendly product which is manufactured using water based lacquers and no formaldehydes. The beds are also packed in recycled cardboard packaging and are efficiently packed to minimize carbon footprint for shipping. This is a system and component based bed so later on as the child grows and you want to place the bed back on the floor, you can easily remove the loft bed extension legs and the ladder and place the bed back on the floor to use as a regular twin bed. There are other components available on the Internet that can be purchased and used to convert this bed into other configurations such as bunk beds, low loft beds. The bed has a complete set of slats so the bed does not need a "bunkie board". You can place the mattress in the bed and it is ready to use. This is a twin size bed and accommodates a standard regular twin size mattress. For safety, we do not recommend a twin size mattress that exceeds 9" (9 inches) in thickness. Please remember that any loft bed is recommended for ages 6 and up. Please make sure to select the color before placing an order. Product assembled dimensions: W: 78.5" x D: 68" (Depth of the bed from the tip of the ladder to the back of the bed, D: 43" (Depth of the bed itself, also the overall width of the twin bed) x H: 72" (from floor to the top edge of the bed end). **Please note that the natural finish is shown on most photos. You can see the white wash finish on the swatch photo showing all three colors.
